Books

Mornings in Jenin by Susan Abulhawa: Adresses the current issue of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict from a different angle. I have a read lots of books from Leon Uris, but I see now that I always only knew half of it. Every story has two sides and this one leaves you heartbroken. How can this conflict ever end after so much violence, injustice and terror in both sides? My heart goes out to all the people in this region! Definitely one of the best books I have read in a long time.

Between the Lines by Tammara Webber: I needed something nice and easy to take the edge off after the book above. Between the lines was exactly the right choice for it. Another example of the YA genre, loveable characters I cannot really relate to (I am not in the movie business) but the idea of alternating narrators agreed with me. I enjoyed a lot, was a quick and easy read.

Where You Are by Tammara Webber: Not as strong as the first one but still lovely in that I already know the characters and what to expect. Finished it within two days, definitely a beach read (ok, so I read it on the couch while it was raining).

Good for You by Tammara Webber: Book #3 in the series of ‘Between the lines’ and back to the level of the first one. Really strong character development, I love how the ‘bad boy’ finally shows a bit more from his softer side. Again a quick and fast read. Can’t believe only one more to go and then I have to leave all these characters behind me. They grew on me.

Here Without You by Tammara Webber: Final installment in the ‘Between the Lines’ series and it brings everything to a perfect ending. I am a sucker for happy endings and this book doesn’t disappoint. Along they way there are quite a lot of obstacles to circumvent but it is all done in relatable way (although the story itself is totally unbelievable!). I had a really good time reading these books and I will miss the characters.
